How does it work?
We utilize multiple software programs to keep track of what is going on and automatically send us notifications of things as they happen. This allows us to be proactive about things and resolve issues before they grow.
Here is an example of what we do:
A client experienced a power outage at their office effecting their network equipment. The software that runs on one of their servers received an alert from the battery backup that power went out. It then sent us an email and began the shutdown process of their infrastructure to ensure everything shut down correctly. We hopped onto their systems to ensure it was shutting down correctly and called our client to notify them that we were aware and monitoring the situation.
What programs do you use to do this?
There are a lot of differ programs that come together to allow us to do this. Some of the big ones are called ConnectWise Automate, Nagios, and Tripp-Lite’s PowerAlert platform.
